try it! ;p
If you see this lady turning in clockwise you are using your right brain.
If you see it the other way, you are using left brain.
Some people do see both ways, but most people see it only one way.
See if you can make her go one way and then the other by shifting the brain’s current.
BOTH DIRECTIONS CAN BE SEEN
Experimentation has shown that the two different sides, or hemispheres, of the brain are responsible for different manners of thinking. The following table illustrates the differences between left-brain and right-brain thinking:
Most individuals have a distinct preference for one of these styles of thinking. Some, however, are more whole-brained and equally adept at both modes. In general, schools tend to favor left-brain modes of thinking, while downplaying the right-brain ones. Left-brain scholastic subjects focus on logical thinking, analysis, and accuracy. Right-brained subjects, on the other hand, focus on aesthetics, feeling, and creativity.
i’ve seen it turn both directions.. sweet!

Come with me
stay the night
you say the words but boy it don’t feel right
what do you expect me to say?
You know it’s just too little too late
You take my hand
and you say you’ve changed
but boy you know your begging don’t fool me
because to you it’s just a game
You know it’s just too little too late
So let me on down
cause time has made me strong
I’m starting to move on
I’m gonna say this now
your chance has come and gone
cause you know
It’s just too little too late
a little too wrong
and I can’t wait
but you know all the right things to say
you know it’s just too little too late
You say you dream of my face
but you don’t like me
you just like the chase
to be real it doesn’t matter anyway
You know it’s just too little too late
yeah yeah it’s just too little too late
I was young and in love
I gave you everything but it wasn’t enough
and now you wanna communicate
You know it’s just too little too late
Go find someone else
in letting you go I’m loving myself
you got a problem
but don’t come asking me for help
Cause you know
It’s just too little too late
a little too wrong
and I can’t wait
but you know all the right things to say
you know it’s just too little too late
You say you dream of my face
but you don’t like me
you just like the chase
to be real it doesn’t matter anyway
You know it’s just too little too late
I can love with all of my heart baby
I know I have so much to give(I have so much to give)
with a player like you I don’t have a prayer
That’s the way to live
Oooh no it’s just too little too late yeah
a homework
Instructions: Name ten of life’s simple pleasures that you like the most, then pick ten people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.
1. Waking up to a brand new day- For most people waking up makes them cranky, especially if it’s too early in the morning. But me? Waking up every single day to see yana and jp sleeping easily puts a smile on my face and while I get up I silently thank God for all the blessings he continuously give to me and my family.
2. My family- I love everything about my family. From my lola who’s soo, soo good at cooking, my mom who’s my complete opposite but whom i consider my best friend, my dad who’s very like me but also my constant debate partner (hehe), my favorite tita ellen (coz she’s my only tita), my strict but cool uncles, all of my cousins in Pinas and in the US, and my little princess alyannah kim and the baby of the bunch cutey jp. So you can just imagine how crazy we can be when we have family reunions.
3. My Amigas- I’m glad that I’m blessed with a lot of special people who God forgot to give to me as my sisters but now I call friends. They can be crazy, funny, pasaway, kikay, old-fashioned, and bitchy in a good way(wink*) but it all boils down to having someone to share a laugh with, a shoulder to cry on, to share my problems and dirtiest secrets with, to share love, life, and mommie advices.
4. Good reads- Ok I admit it I’m a nerd, bookworm, bookish, whatever you call it! hehe I really love reading books. And it amazes me at how some people can be so creative into putting down their thoughts in writing and publishing it for everyone to see learn from.
5. Writing a journal- Since I’m a book lover it inspired me to be expressive about my thoughts and actually write it down. I remember keeping a diary with a lock on it when I was still a kid. And now here I am blogging around the web. =)
6. Good conversations- I’m like Oprah Winfrey, the queen of talk! I like speaking my mind about anything under the sun and I also enjoy listening to others about their point of views.
7. The Beach- Be it in punta fuego or in Boracay( w/c I plan to visit when I get back) I totally love the sun, sand, and the water. If i get stranded in an island, I’d probably spend it getting a tan and taking lots and lots of pictures.
8. Shopping- I’m a certified shopaholic! Not gonna hide it, but I’m a savvy shopper now. I’ve learned the hard way that impulsive shopping can bring a pile of junk in your closet. Now that I’m earning my own money, I’ve learned to value it. And would you believe I have a list of the things I actually want and really need before I actually buy anything? Which makes my mom smiling nowadays. The only things I spulrge on are for my little angels.
9. Travelling- I enjoy going to places, trying different things there like eating their delicacy, and discovering their people. My childhood dream is to travel the world, oh well I’m only 21 now, so I still have alot of time to make it come true.
10. The Bible- I’m no preacher nor an angel but since my uncle encourage me to read the bible everything started to change in my life positevely. It has taught me lessons and guided me in everyday life. It kept me sane. I just wish everyone of us especially my fellow christians to read this book and not ignore it as if its a normal decoration in their bookshelf.
*mareng nicole my homework’s done, I was typing this a lttle earlier pro nag-brown out dito kya now ko lang ulit naayus.
Get ready ana, madie, shari, tintin, jah, diane, and ate sweet- its your turn.
How to mend a broken heart
"love hurts, love hurts".. If this is your theme song right now, then I guess you really need these simple tips that I’ve also used on myself going through the so-called "after the break-up mode".(naks!) Well here goes…
- Throw a small party. The fun of letting loose and being surrounded with your close friends can make anyone feel better.
- Gather everything that reminds you of your ex and put it in a box specifically for this.(and yes even the first chocolate wrapper that he gave you is included in the "everything category") Then give it to a friend or store it somewhere where you won’t see or think about it. When you’re ready you can either throw away the box or keep it for memory’s sake.
- Start a new exercise or well-being plan. Like going to the gym or simply jogging every morning around your neighborhood. It never hurts to take time to look hot and sexy!
- Start a daily diary, even if it’s on your computer. Somewhere everyday take the time to jot down whatever comes to mind. The idea in starting a diary is not to write cleverly or even about anything important. Just write whatever comes to mind even if your journal starts to look like this: "Went shopping yesterday for a new book oh yea need to e-mail Susan, the flowers on that window sill need watering." The point of your journal is to clear your thoughts. In a few weeks you will be able to read your entries to discover new things and trends about yourself.
- Join a new interest group. It’s never to early too meet new friends and, at least this way, you’ll already have one thing in common.
- Learn something new. Take a foreign language or cooking class, or buy a how-to computer program.
- Pick out an inspirational book(like tuesdays with morrie) or movie to read or watch whenever you start feeling down or depressed.
- Take yourself out on a date, even if it’s a night alone watching your favorite programs and eating your favorite foods.
- Do the things you said you always wanted to do when you were with your partner but somehow never did.
- Get a new look. A new hair-cut, a new color, or a full make-over.
- Pick up a calendar and fill out the next 3 months with social events you’d like to attend or things you’d like to do. Browse your city’s web site or the entertainment section of your local newspaper to find out ideas, dates and times.
- Spend a "comfy" day. Get out your favorite comfy clothes, pillow, blanket, etc. and just spend the day relaxing doing whatever you want!
- Get a pet or plant to take care of.
- Rent a few romantic movies(just like heaven and the notebook) or read a few romance novels to remind yourself that love does still have happy endings.
- Write a goodbye poem or letter. Then stick it in a bottle and throw it out in the sea or attach it to a helium balloon to be carried away.
- Do something you wouldn’t normally do to celebrate your "singleness."
- Redecorate your room. Start off by cleaning out everything and throwing away anything you don’t use or need anymore. Make a few self-indulgent decorating additions like a few candles, a favorite painting or fresh flowers!
- Visit a new city(or another country). Pick some place you’ve always wanted to go or some place closer to home to save money.
- Spend time with your friends
- Cry it all out. If you feel like doing it for 3 or even 5 days, then do it. But afterwards snap out of it. Take a shower, completely pamper yourself then look in the mirror and say this "Ang ganda-ganda ko". And believe it gurl, and keep in mind that in every break-up gets you one step closer to the one you’re really meant to be with.
Body language and dating
|
Learning body language is an art. Let me tell you about it. Have you ever gone to meet someone and got bored after sometime and wanted to walk away? You would find your legs turning towards the exit automatically. If the other person is a good student of body language, he/she will understand that you want to leave. In context of dating, it is important to learn body language basics to find out how your date is reacting.
Arms crossed in a defensive posture, turning his/her body away from you, inattentiveness to what you are speaking, minimal physical contact, an occasional yawn and very little eye contact - these are signs that your date is not interested. As one gets uninterested in someone, one tries to move away and reduce contact. If during a date, you read any of these signals what should you do? Best is to watch for some time and then ask the honest question - are you feeling uncomfortable, let me know. If yes, lets stop here. Ask honestly, so that you get an honest answer. Sometimes, the answer will be not what you expect, but body language is a sure way to find the real state of your date’s mind.
Increasing physical contact, total interest in what you are saying, high level of eye contact, no sign that shows any hurry, and active participation with you, are clear signals that your date is very interested in you. As anybody gets interested, he/she wants to increase intimacy and come nearer. These physical signals say that loudly. There will be no yawns. Rather the eyes will be shining and there will be a smile on the face. When you spot these signals, be sure that the other person loves to meet you and be with you. If you are equally interested, respond similarly and take that date forward to another level.
During dating, many times, people want to act nice and are not honest enough about their true feelings. Body language tells you what is the truth.

Film
The verdict: A thoughtful and engrossing examination of racism, blessed with a splendid cast and a smart script.
Director: Paul Haggis
Starring: Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Tony Danza, Matt Dillon, Jennifer Esposito, Ludacris, William Fichtner, Brendan Fraser, Terrence Dashon Howard
Run time: 113 minutes
Release date: May 6, 2005
Rating: R for language, sexual content and some violence
My auntie and i watched this movie on dvd last friday. She didnt read what was it about, the only thing she knew was that Sandra Bullock was in it, thats why she bought it. " i’m sure its a plane crash, like in final destination" my aunt said. I nodded but as the film started there was no plane in sight. We were literally glued to our seats while the movie was on.
i think anyone who’ve seen this will have more sympathy over those people different from them. In the film, the characters racially unlike crashed and found out that they share not only the city they live in but also the same fears, hope, and love.
Enjoy Today
Enjoy today, it will not come again
Waste not the hours thinking of tomorrow,
Are over what the future may contain.
The darkest doubts and worries never changed
The color of the sky nor turned the tide
But he whose faith burns like a light inside,
Questions not the things God has arranged
"for everything a season," every man
Must journey the old to reach the new,
Discovering as he is passing through
The dessert, an oasis in the sand.
For there are dreams that really do come true,
…And this is all we need to understand.

You never looked so good
As you did last night
Underneath those city lights
There walking with your friend
Laughing at the moon
I swear you looked right through me
But i’m still living with your goodbye
And you’re just going on with your life
[chorus]
How can you just walk on by
Without one tear in your eye
Don’t you have the slightest feelings left for me
Maybe that’s just your way
Of dealing with the pain
Forgetting everything between our rise and fall
Like we never loved at all
You, i hear you’re doing fine
Seems like you’re doing well
As far as i can tell
Time is leaving us behind
Another week has passed
And still i haven’t laughed yet
So tell me what your secret is
To letting go like you did, like you did
[chorus]
Did you forget the magic
Did you forget the passion
Did you ever miss me
Ever long to kiss me
[chorus]
You, you never looked so good
dedicated to all my single gurlfriends:we deserve to hear this from mr. right,,coz we know were worth it,ayt?!
forget his name, forget his face
forget his kiss and warm embrace
foget the love that you once knew
remember now there’s someone new
forget the face that you once cared
remember now, he’s being shared
forget the times you spent together
remember now he’s gone forever
forget the way he used to talk
forget you memorized the way he’d walk
forget the times when he was mad
remember now, he’s happy not sad
forget the times he used to phone
forget the times you were alone
forget the times your dreams came true
remember now, he’s not with you
forget his gentle teasing way
forget you loved him day by day
forget the things you planned to do
remember now she loves him too
forget the thrills when he passed by
forget the times he made you cry
forget the way he spoke your name
remember now, things arent the same
forget the way he loved you too
remember now, there’s someone new
forget he said, he’d never leave you
remember now, I’m here for you
dedicated to? (you know who you are..i hope we’re cool..muah)

Cool -gwen stefani
It’s hard to remember how it felt before
Now I found the love of my life
Passes things, get more comfortable
Everything is going right
And after all the obstacles
It’s good to see you now with someone else
And it’s such a miracle that you and me are still good friends
After all that we’ve been through
I know we’re cool
I know we’re cool
We used to think it was impossible
Now you call me by my new last name
Memories seem like so long ago
Time always kills the pain
Remember Harbor Boulevard
The dreaming days where the mess was made
Look how all the kids have grown, oh
We have changed but we’re still the same
After all that we’ve been through
I know we’re cool
I know we’re cool
Yeah, I know we’re cool
And I’ll be happy for you
If you can be happy for me
Circles and triangles
And now we’re hanging out with your new girlfriend
So far from where we’ve been
I know we’re cool
I know we’re cool
C-cool, I know we’re cool
I know we’re cool
